This nymph pattern is a mix of a pheasant tail nymph, a brassie, and a red-headed stepchild. I took my favorite parts of each of those flies and mixed and matched until I came. up with something simple to tie, but attractive enough to catch plenty of trout. I love the red krystal flash wing, and I think it really adds to the pattern. It’s a good mix of natural and synthetic materials, something that always makes a pattern interesting to me.
