The Prince Nymph has been around since the 1930s, and it has morphed many times and has as many variations as any other fly—the original used black ostrich herl instead of the now-used peacock herl.
Here, I use a gold bead and lead-free wire to add weight, and forego the brown feathers in favor of speed and efficiency.
My favorite variations on this are using dyed peacock herl (red is great) and different color beads and wire.
